Craig Bolam Salon, established 2013, is an award-winning space located at Dene Workshops, Mickley, Northumberland. Known for a more considered approach to hairdressing, the work is quiet, refined, and designed to last beyond the appointment.
We specialise in modern colour and effortless, wearable hair—created through a process that is intentional, informed, and never excessive. Influenced by culture, art, and fashion, but not led by trend, each result is tailored to the individual.
Our goal remains simple: exceptional hair, delivered with precision and care. In partnership with Alfaparf Milano, we combine performance with a more responsible approach to beauty—supporting the long-term condition of the hair as well as the experience itself.

Craig is the founder of Craig Bolam Salon, established in 2012. His work is defined by a considered approach to hairdressing—refined, modern, and quietly confident.
With a continued focus on education, Craig works alongside some of the industry's most respected names, refining technique and evolving both his own practice and the standard of the salon.
Known for his calm, attentive manner, Craig takes the time to understand each client—creating results that feel personal, effortless, and enduring.
With a lifelong connection to hairdressing, Siobhan brings a natural understanding of the craft and a considered, contemporary approach to her work.
Siobhan is currently taking maternity leave and is temporarily unavailable for appointments.
During her absence, our team will be delighted to welcome her clients and ensure the same thoughtful, personalised experience.
With over 30 years in hairdressing, Joanne brings a wealth of experience and an instinctive understanding of her craft. Her career has taken her from international cruise ships to established salons across Northumberland.
Her approach is warm, confident and considered, combining years of technical expertise with an appreciation for individual style. Joanne creates timeless, wearable hair, tailored to the person behind it.
Working independently from Craig Bolam Salon, Joanne manages her own appointments and welcomes both new and existing clients.
A Level 3 qualified stylist, Ellie brings a fresh, thoughtful approach to hairdressing, with a natural eye for detail and a genuine commitment to creating beautiful, wearable hair.
Her approach is relaxed and attentive, taking time to understand each client's individual style and create results that feel effortless and personal.
Ellie is welcoming both new and existing clients, with appointments available to book online.
We are always open to the right people. Whether employed, freelance, or at the beginning of your career, we welcome those with a considered approach to hairdressing and a natural standard of client care.

Appointments are reserved exclusively for you. To ensure the best experience for all clients, we kindly ask that any changes or cancellations are made with at least 24 hours’ notice.
We ask that you arrive on time for your appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we may need to adjust or reschedule your service to maintain the flow of the day.
In the event of a late cancellation, we will always aim to reallocate the appointment. Where this is not possible, a charge may apply to cover the reserved time.
If we need to reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, we will ensure your next visit reflects this. In the rare event of circumstances beyond our control, we will always prioritise rebooking your appointment at the earliest convenience.
